Our History
The Web Strategy Team comprises one-half of the Web Services side of Course Development & Web Services (CDWS). Part of the Advanced Systems team falls under Web Services.
In 1997, Web Services was added to the Course Development unit. CDWS took on the responsibility for campus Web services, and the research and development of Web applications for the university. This included continuous development and management of the main UCF Web site, myUCF, the ePay commerce system, and other enterprise applications such as the UCF award-winning Campus Map and Virtual Tour.
Web Strategy (originally known as Web Analysis) became the project management arm of Web Services. Web Strategy concentrates on research, project management, enterprise-wide application development and maintenance, partnerships, committee membership, and promoting Web Services at UCF through relationships, training, and marketing.
